This scene just had to be in a TF2 spoof, if you ask me. So after some faceposer annoyances (yes I still hate the program for TF2 :D). Here is a new TF2 faceposer Youtube for you to enjoy or hate on.
Always remember though, have fun...

TF2 - Jurassic Park, Muldoon - final

Finally, with some help from my buddy Emiel "Equinsu Ocha" Drent, I’ve now finished a Jurassic Park spoof using the Team Fortress 2 universe.
The first video was a simple test. I used voiceovers and sounds taken from the scene where Robert Muldoon tries to kill the Raptors, only to get flanked and killed. There is no engaging of anything in the first video. It was mainly to see if I could get Faceposer to work properly in TF2.
The second/final video has the complete storyline I was aiming for and even a little surprise at the end of the credits. I also used some nicer camera angles and effects like camera shake, panning, zooming and rolling.
Nothing more to say other then enjoy...

TF2 - Missheard Teamspeak conversation
Article mirror TF2 - Missheard Teamspeak conversation
Some more testing with the faceposer from Valve, this time with a Teamspeak file I had lying around for a while. I misunderstood Madman when he said British. I heard something different. It is recorded when we were in the game lobby of Company of Heroes. But I thought it would also fit the TF2 theme, especially 2fort.
This has once again been recorded with me and some bots. I really need to get these guys in the Youtube to help me out in some longer machinimas, I guess...
Anyway have fun watching :)

Youtube embedded annotations!

Article mirror Youtube embedded annotations!
It seems Youtube finally made annotations viewable in embeded youtubes, yay. Quite a good move as I have some annotations that eplain or "fix" some typo I made. They are of course not needed, but can be quite usefull and entertaining even...
For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about. Annotations are text balloons you see in some Youtubes if you have this feature turned on. It is a feature that allows a Youtubian to add text to his already uploaded Youtube. This way he or she can explain something or have some random comment in there without having to reupload the Youtube... If a Youtube has annotations, it will say so at the bottom "this video has annotations". If you want this feature enabled (which I think it is by default), you can use the button on a Youtube on the bottom right and click it. If you hover over it, it will show you a red icon. If it is red the annotations are on.
I see that I used the word Youtube a lot, it is a funny word if you think about it...
Now this might not be game related, but I do have a lot of game related Youtubes. So there you have it...

TF2 - Jurassic Park, Muldoon vs Raptors
Article mirror TF2 - Jurassic Park, Muldoon vs Raptors
After a long time trying to figure out how the Faceposer tool by Valve actually works and also why it doesn't work as well on TF2. I am missing animation thumbnails and play buttons, which could of course be a setup fault of mine. If it is then I said nothing :D
Anyway, I now finally made this machinima-short for a scene in Jurassic Park.
I still hate the way Faceposer works though (for TF2) and also the way the ingame tf_testvcd works, it is of course a lot better the using the old way (or so I read). But I've learned to live with it. I still would like the console command to have an extra option to input the target name of the player/bot who has to play the scene. Currently you have to point at the player/bot you want to use for the scene.
Can you imaging the annoyance I had with this particular scene where only two bots had to play a scene simultaniously to get the audio sync correct, imagin going over that quite low number of bots…
To get the audio synchronized I made the sniper's scene dibiliratly 0.5 seconds out of sync with the audio. Then I used some fps shooting action, aiming at the bots, and starting the scene relative to the bot by using my mouse1 (bound to the sniper) and mouse2 (bound to the scout scene). This way all of the lipsync in the final video would be in sync with the audio.
Welcome to annoyance 101...

I was walking around in thirdperson as usual trying to do a scene where I had some fun with an engineer (Emiel "Equinsu Ocha" Drent) I changed to the sapper and found it mildly amusing to see him in a very particular stance, which had some potential for a youtube I thought.
Well that is all I'm gonnah say, just watch the video and enjoy...

Finally I got a buddy of mine to help out in a video and endure me setting up bots as well . Which is painstaking with all the teleporting and other console commands to make them do stuff.
Anyway here is the result of a response video for my other youtube:

Having some fun with the awesome Meet the Engineer video made by Valve Software. Team fortress 2 really lends itself well to spoof and comedy videos. And with a little bit of cut n'pasting one can create a nice video from the meet the >insert class here<>
As per usual I like to create TF2 stuff and will continue to do so. I already got a few of my gaming buddies to get TF2. So perhaps I can convince them to help me out with some more videos and maybe even a machinima... Only time will tell...
Sidenote: due to a copyright claim on the music used in the video. It is no longer available :(
